Shipping Information

When you shop with Superficially Colorful Lacquer,I know you want to get your order in a timely manner. At the moment, I am running on a turnaround time of 7-10 days for in-stock items. Please understand that I do not pre-pour bottles, and that each bottle ordered gets poured from a small batch shortly after your order has been received and paid for. The bottle is then assembled with the brush, labeled, placed in it's cardboard box and then put in a bubble wrap. It is then packed either in a bubble wrapped mailer bag or in an order-appropriate box. (All orders of 3 bottles and more will always be packed in a box)

Shipping Methods

All orders are sent in a registered, signature required mail which is trackable and insured. When the package arrives at your address you will be required to sign upon receiving it. This might be considered a little nuisance for you, but unfortunately, this is my only trackable method of shipping. And after all, I believe that a lost package might cause a bigger nuisance.

Mailing Time

Once shipped, if you are not in Israel, your order will most likely take anything from 1 week to 4 weeks to arrive. From my experience packages to the USA arrive quicker than all other countries, even compared to geographically closer countries. I can only assume that the reason is the fact that flights to the USA are more frequent from here than flights to any other destination.

All orders are given a unique tracking number. You will receive an email as soon as your order has been marked shipped, which will include your tracking number. Once the package has entered the borders of your country, you should be able to track the package through your local post office branch / website. Please note: it takes 2-3 business days for the package to leave Israel and a few more days for it to enter your local post office system. If your tracking number is saying “not found”, it has not entered the system yet.

All orders include $100 theoretically worth of insurance. However, any claim may take months to clear and the post office here is not easy to pay such claim. This is the main reason why all orders must be registered and signature required.

Customs declaration

I don't have any, since I am usually not required to mark the value or occasion of the package. If for some strange reason I am requested to fill such details, I will usually write it down as a gift with the value of $20. In case of specifically large packages I will contact you and make sure of the best way to mark your package.

Known issues

There are a few countries which are known to have problematic customs practices. Some orders have taken over three months to arrive or they needed special information while shipped. The countries I currently am aware of such issues with are Russia and several other countries in eastern Europe, Brazil and North West Germany. If you live in those areas please allow a longer time then 4 weeks for your package to arrive.
